What is resin bound?

Resin bound, sometimes known as ‘trowelled’ paving, is made from a mixture of natural stones and a clear UV resistant resin. To guarantee each stone is coated fully in resin, the liquid and stones are combined in a force-action mix process, to form a mixture that is then poured onto your Ely driveway, or any other area you wish to cover.

Once poured, the mixture is then hand-trowelled to form a smooth, consistent surface with no loose stones. Resin bound surfaces are permeable, letting rainwater pass through. Because of this they require little maintenance and can be cleaned with a simple jet wash.
